The 'e-litro secu4' oil tank measuring system is an electronic level indicator, specially designed for battery tanks . The device continuously measures and monitors up to four interconnected battery tanks.
It is the first oil tank indicator with a "type approval test " * (in the parlance "type approval"). This is based on a test report carried out by TÜV-Nord (Hamburg) in conjunction with the device approval issued by DIBt (Berlin).
The device functions are fully compliant with the regulations of AwSV-2017 and TRwS-791-2.
Display and tank monitoring
The special features compared to conventional oil tank gauges:
The level of several containers is monitored at the same time.
For each partial tank of the tank battery, the following is measured and displayed:
- the level in cm
- the current fill level in%
- the current amount of heating oil in liters
In addition, the total stock and the fillable space is displayed in liters .
There is an acoustic alarm (loud beep alarm) if the remaining fuel oil falls below a definable reserve level.
The filling process of the tank battery is monitored in a safety-relevant manner: The limit indicator is
supported in the monitoring function. As soon as one of the containers has reached its permissible filling limit, the device gives an alarm to stop filling immediately .
Optionally, the 'e-litro secu4' can also automatically switch off the filling process of the fuel oil tanker by interrupting the limit switch current loop with its output relay.

Clear status display
The typical measurement deviation is in the range of 1 - 2% depending on the tank geometry and container volume. The device records the water levels in the tanks with a deviation of <1% FS. After converting the tank geometry into the current liter display, there is a display deviation of less than 2%, provided that the device setting is correct.

Application range of battery tanks:
The device is particularly suitable for monitoring battery tanks for heating oil storage. The 'e-litro secu4' is suitable for all battery tank systems (max. 4 tanks with 10,000 L each) for easy universal retrofitting. These can be interconnected plastic or sheet metal tanks.
The device set consists of the 'secu4 Sensorbox' with 4 measuring lines that lead to and into the containers, as well as the 'secu4 display device'. The two units are electrically connected with a 3-wire signal cable. Distance up to 100m. The measuring principle is the electronic-pneumatic bubbling method.
During installation, the device is set once using control buttons using a text-guided, simple menu operation. The following are to be set: liquid, tank volume, internal dimensions of the tanks in cm, filling limit (%) and reserve limit (%).
This setting only needs to be made once during commissioning. An alarm can be acknowledged (ended) with the acknowledgment button.

Regulations and requirements
The 'e-litro secu4' fully meets the requirements of the TRwS-791-2 regulations:
The operator of the fuel oil tank farm is responsible for the condition of the system.
Before starting the filling, the tanker driver must determine how many liters of heating oil can be filled without exceeding the filling limit. It must not simply be filled until the limit indicator of tank 1 switches off. This is a danger point, because when filling, another container may reach a higher filling level than the first container with the limit indicator.
The 'e-litro secu4' ensures more safety in the heating oil storage room. It helps the tanker driver to comply with the regulations and to refuel without the risk of overfilling. It is approved as a fill limiter for battery tanks. With the new safety functions (alarm signal and optional refueling shutdown), this electronic heating oil tank indicator is innovative and functionally outstanding.
