TDS-52-xxx series
This level measuring probe is a hydrostatically measuring pressure probe. A pressure measuring cell records the level pressure of the water column. The measuring cell and the signal amplifier are protected in the probe head. The housing is made of stainless steel (V4A), making the probe suitable for long-term use in water. The immersion cable of the level probe is made of PUR plastic and contains an air capillary for the pressure equalization of the measuring cell, which is necessary for the measuring principle. This means that there are no falsification of the measured values ​​in the event of air pressure fluctuations. The measuring method using the static level pressure is in practice the most valuable solution for measuring water levels electronically.
Main area of ​​application: water. Not suitable for use in oils or other penetrating or aggressive liquids.

 - ponds and water shafts,
 - rainwater
 
barrels measuring ranges:
• 0 ... 200 mbar with 2.5m immersion cable
• 0 ... 250 mbar with 6m immersion cable
• 0 ... 400 mbar with 10m immersion cable
* The cable lengths are pre-assembled here. The signal cable can easily be extended up to 100m with + and -. The special junction box with pressure compensation filter is to be used outdoors.

Signal and connection:
4-20 mA, 2-wire connection.
The probe adjusts the flowing signal current. This interface offers a signal that is extremely immune to interference with level probes.
Lightning protection / surge protection / induction protection are not integrated in this series and are not possible. If this is required, the TDS-80xxx series is the right solution. We would be happy to advise you on this.

This series TDS-52-xxx of water level measuring probes represents a long-term reliable solution for the cistern measurement, with a good price / performance ratio. Other measuring methods, such as float solutions or ultrasound, may be cheaper in some cases, but have the known disadvantages of assembly and reliability. In comparison, the measurement by ultrasound is in principle not an inventory measurement, but a free path measurement from above.
