The retrofit set:
The TANK-SPION classic is a retrofittable tank level indicator for plastic heating oil tanks.
Principle: thread shimmer measuring principle with cm display scale (0 - 160 cm).
This complete retrofit set can be retrofitted to all single-walled plastic tanks (PE / PA / GFK), including battery tanks.
According to tests (TÜV Nord and DIBt), the TANKSPION CLASSIC conforms to the existing container approval regulations.
An additional free screw-in socket on the heating oil tank is not required.
The experience:
Plastic storage tanks for the storage of heating oil and diesel are almost indestructible and can be operated safely for decades.
The tanks of older series, however, become non-transparent and blind due to age.
The tanks are often set up in such a way that they are barely accessible or difficult to see.
The operator is constantly faced with the question:
"How much heating oil is there still in the tanks?"
"Am I running the risk of the tank or a battery tank being empty soon?"
The solution:
Have your heating oil tank or battery tank retrofitted with a TANK-SPION.

Retrofitting of level indicators:
 
Extract from regulation TRwS 791-2:
"Plastic oil storage tanks that are no longer translucent must be retrofitted with a level indicator."
 
If there is no free connection piece on the respective oil tank, a thread float level indicator can be retrofitted.
For this purpose, a retaining sleeve for the level indicator is glued to the top of the relevant oil tank (s). This applies to the TANK-SPION® CLASSIC retrofit principle.

The tanker driver must note:
If the battery tanks have become opaque, each partial container of the system should be retrofitted with a fuel gauge such as the TankSpion Classic.
Alternatively, we recommend retrofitting with the electronic solution   e-litro secu4 (device with type approval from DIBt).
